Hij moest nieuwe methodes vinden om awareness rond zijn merk en horloges te cre\u00ebren. Tysander had echter niet het budget van de grote merken &#8211; wel herkende hij het enorme potentieel van Instagram en de gebruikers op het kanaal. Houd alsjeblieft in gedachte dat we het hebben over 2011: het herkennen van de potentie van Instagram was toen\u00a0<em>zeker<\/em> nog een kwaliteit.<\/p>\n<h3>Micro-influencers<\/h3>\n<p>Hij ontdekte dat er naast celebrity influencers met 100K+ volgers er ook een hoop mensen waren in kleinere niches &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/join.marketing\/2018\/engagement-rate\/\">met rond de 5K volgers<\/a>. Als pionier in de influencer marketing herkende hij ook het belang van de creatieve vrijheid van influencers. Hij liet de vrijheid volledig bij de influencers &#8211; zo hadden zij immers hun eigen follower base opgebouwd. Zijn strategie werkte en het merk Daniel Wellington werd internationaal bekend en beschikbaar. Het hielp hem ook bij het maken van zijn eigen Instagram account. Het kanaal van het merk wordt tegenwoordig gebruikt om wedstrijden te organiseren met de hashtag #DWPickoftheDay. Dit zorgt ervoor dat zowel influencers als &#8216;normale&#8217; gebruikers hun content welwillend delen met het merk.
