Voor de opkomst van social media, promoten bekendheden, acteurs en artiesten bepaalde merken in onder andere interviews. Maar nu social media aan ieder mens met een smartphone de kans geeft om heel de wereld te bereiken, is het gebruik van influencer marketing drastisch toegenomen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>Authenticiteit van normale mensen<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Het verschil tussen acteurs en \u2018normale\u2019 mensen zit hem echter in de authenticiteit. Een filmster die een bepaalde shampoo aanprijst, is minder geloofwaardig dan het \u2018buurmeisje van hiernaast\u2019 die op Instagram een paar duizend (of meer) volgers heeft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">De social media sterren (groot of klein) hebben zoveel invloed dat klanten letterlijk meer kopen. Zien volgers een post waarin hun favoriete yoga docent of fitness guru een bepaalde sportlegging draagt? Dan is de kans groot dat ook zij dezelfde legging kopen. Een <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.twitter.com\/marketing\/en_us\/a\/2016\/new-research-the-value-of-influencers-on-twitter.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s2\">onderzoek<\/span><\/a> door Twitter en Annalect laat zien dat er 5,2 keer meer wordt verkocht wanneer mensen worden blootgesteld aan promotionele <a href=\"https:\/\/join.marketing\/nl\/2018\/content-marketing\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">content marketing<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De authenticiteit van influencers kan dus uitstekend worden gebruikt door merken als een soort sociale bewijskracht. Door hun emoties, onzekerheden en uitdagingen te delen met hun volgers, hebben ze een groot vertrouwen opgebouwd. Daarom is het essentieel dat een influencer niet zomaar een product promoot waar hij of zij niet achter staat. Als influencers dat wel doen, lopen ze het risico om volgers te verliezen en hun reputatie te schaden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3><p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\"><b>Hoe garanderen marketeers authenticiteit?<\/b><\/span><\/p><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoe zorg je er als marketeer voor dat influencers hun authenticiteit behouden? Door op de volgende punten te letten:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Zoek een influencer uit die past bij het product, het merk en de doelgroep. Zij weten het beste wat aanslaat bij hun doelgroep, dus stuur ze geen richtlijnen die hun creativiteit beperken.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li>Probeer de influencer niet te veranderen zodat hij of zij beter bij het merk past.
